Responsibilities of Program Strategy Manager Jobs in USA:

The responsibility of the Strategy Manager entails guiding a group of Manufacturing Engineering Supervisors/Engineers operating under the Final Assembly Engineering Organisation. This guidance pertains to the following domains: apparatus and equipment, digital transformation, fastening, and product and process standards.

• Quality – Responsible for guiding a team in improving quality metrics across all Ford North America factories, addressing quality pain points through ongoing improvement initiatives, and supporting process enhancements in preparation for future programs.
• Standards for Products and Processes – Construct, revise, and incorporate global manufacturing specifications into the product design under the team’s direction, in addition to establishing, updating, and developing process standards and process control plans to bolster core engineering deliverables.
• Fastening – Direct the development of fastening standards and tools and the integration of new technologies into existing operations to facilitate process and quality enhancements.
• Digital Transformation – Oversee the implementation of solutions that integrate digital transformation technology into core process deliverables; direct a global team in confirming that proposed digital technology solutions support these deliverables.
• Plant Vehicle Teams (PVTs)—Work with plant teams to assist with deliverables required by Final Assembly Engineering and promote quality and process improvement initiatives within the plants.
• Machinery and Equipment – Direct the team tasked with establishing critical equipment specifications for forthcoming initiatives and facilitating process and quality improvement initiatives for significant equipment at the facilities.
• All job responsibilities will contribute to the implementation of campaign prevention, response, and new and existing program strategies at Ford North America Final Assembly Manufacturing sites.
• Supervise the development of strategies and projects from inception through delivery and implementation.

Preferred Experience Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science is required.
• More than a decade of experience in manufacturing operations and engineering.
• Launch of a significant program as a discipline leader or equivalent.
• Knowledge of MDQOS deliverables including LQOS, DPA5, GSPAS/VPS, APT, Teamcenter, PFMEA, SCCAFs, Error Proofing Principles, GMRs/Health Charts, and VOSS, in addition to tooling development.
• Gaining insight into the interconnections among VOME, new model development, program management, and operations via vehicle launch.
• Expertise and/or practical involvement in a range of vehicle manufacturing functions.
• Extensive technical expertise regarding the quality improvement procedure.
• Capabilities in leadership communication commensurate with reporting to VP and director-level leadership.
