Our community team provides a diverse population of women and their families with midwifery care of the highest caliber. Community midwife teams implement a named midwife model in children’s centers, general practitioner clinics, and the home. Each team is comprised of the Team Leader, Community Midwives, Maternity Support Workers, and Community Administrators, under the direction of the Community Matron. Individualized orientations and sufficient support will be provided to appointed candidates at the time of their appointment.

To aid women who prefer to give birth at the Birth Centre or home, our midwives work a variety of shift schedules, including on-call rotate and weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Midwifery Professional Status on the NMC Register.
  • BSc or Diploma in Midwifery Studies

Desirable

  • Neonatal Intensive Patient Examination (NIPE).

  • Training in newborn life support.

Experience:
