Community Healthcare Assistant Jobs in UK – Visa Sponsorship

We have an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join our unique, specialized end-of-life care team. You will join a large and established team of Healthcare Assistants led by a District Nurse. This group is a part of the larger Integrated Community Team, which includes Community Nursing and Community Therapy.

Shifts are divided into early and late shifts, with each lasting five hours. The early hours are from 08:00 to 13:00, while the late shifts are from 16:00 to 21:00. The team allocates these based on your working hours during seven days. The normal staffing allotment is four workers each shift, which means you will work closely with your colleagues to undertake joint visits as well as individual visits in the community.

We provide end-of-life care in patients’ homes in the Erewash area. As a result, you will need to drive between our two facilities, Ilkeston Community Hospital and Long Eaton Health Centre.

The primary responsibilities of the job will involve the following:

• Personal care for end-of-life patients who live at home.
• Patient manual handling with equipment provided at home.
• Continence management, including catheter care.
• Take care of the pressure area.
• Medication is administered using a Medication Administration Record (MAR) sheet.
• Communication with all members of the Integrated Community Team, as well as the use of a laptop to enter patient information into Systmone.
