Purpose:
An experienced manager is required to coordinate, direct, and oversee the line management of the Cyber Security Advisory team. This team is responsible for ensuring the security of key corporate departments at TfL, including finance, legal, and technology. This role is a member of the Cyber Security Leadership Team and reports to the CISO. In addition to two other advising Managers who are responsible for TfL’s operational operations, this position is part of a larger advising practice.
Establishing connections with business risk owners, the Advisory team provides them with expert counsel on the management of cyber security risk. Effective control measures are translated from regulations and standards to manage and mitigate the risks associated with change (including programs and initiatives). The duties of this group include overseeing all business systems and ensuring that sufficient defensive measures are implemented to protect enterprise-wide technologies, including CRM, ERP, communications, digital, and productivity services.
Accountabilities:
- Overseeing, guiding, and supervising a group of seasoned cyber security experts who engage in cooperative efforts with diverse stakeholders and organizations, such as business personnel, project teams, and business risk proprietors.
- Fostering robust and strategic relationships between critical stakeholders and the Cyber Security team.
- Providing appropriate and precise cyber security guidance to risk owners, enabling them to make informed choices that contribute to the objective of mitigating cyber security risk.
- Ensuring the identification and documentation of cyber security risks that may be introduced by initiatives and change activities. Assisted risk owners with their management throughout the endeavor.
- Provide support to risk owners in the identification and execution of cyber security measures that align with the established criteria for newly developed technological solutions, including those procured from our supply chain and manufactured domestically.
- Serving as a member of the Cyber Security Leadership Team to assure support for the overarching cyber security strategy.
Knowledge:
Possesses up-to-date knowledge and comprehension of information security and cyber security practices, principles, tools, and techniques; external developments and emerging government guidance about information security and cyber security; new and emerging technologies and their potential ramifications on business operations; and the dynamic cyber and information security risk environment and its potential implications for business operations.
