The Royal Liverpool Hospital’s critical care facilities include an 18-bed Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU), a 4-bed post-operative critical care unit (POCCU), and a 14-bed High Dependency Unit. These will be combined into a single Critical Care Unit following the move to the New Royal in October 2022.

We care for people who have severe multiorgan failure and need invasive devices and constant monitoring. The regions are clinically, physically, and emotionally demanding, but the benefits are enormous when our patients recover and are transferred from Critical Care.

Main Responsibilities of the Job:

  • We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Critical Care Group’s HCA team. The job includes assisting trained workers with some parts of patient care, such as mobilization, but it also includes stock control, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, patient bed spaces, and overall upkeep of a clean and safe environment for our patients.
